Actor Sai Pallavi took to Instagram on Monday, August 2 to post photos with her grandparents on the occasion of her grandfather’s 85th birthday. Clad in a dark blue traditional saree, the actor looks elegant and festive in the pics, posing with her sister, grandmother and grandfather. Sharing the pictures, Sai Pallavi wrote: “Roots!!! #Thatha’s 85th (sic).” Actors Raashi Khanna and Sanya Malhotra commented on the post appreciating Sai Pallavi.
On the professional front, Sai Pallavi has a number of releases in the pipeline. The theatrical release of a couple of her upcoming films, including Love Story and Virata Parvam, were postponed in view of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Helmed by Venu Udugala, period drama Virata Parvam stars her and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles. The cast also includes Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra and Eashwari Rao among others in pivotal roles. Based on the Naxalite movement that took place in the Telugu-speaking states in the 1990s, the project is bankrolled by D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banners of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions. The film was supposed to release on April 30 this year.
Love Story, directed by Sekhar Kammula, stars Sai Pallavi opposite Naga Chaitanya. The makers are yet to reveal a new date for its release. The film revolves around two aspirational young people – Mounica and Revanth, played by Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya respectively – who move to the city in search of work. Songs from Love Story have gone viral on social media. The project is bankrolled by Amigos Creations and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas.
The Premam actor recently wrapped up shooting for her next outing with actor Nani. Titled Shyam Singha Roy, the movie is reportedly based on the theme of reincarnation. Helmed by Rahul Sakrithyan, the film also features Krithi Shetty and Madonna Sebastian in pivotal roles.
