Man passes Class X Examination Along with Son

The News Minute | May 25,2014 | 7:50 AM ISTA 50-year old employee of the Highways Department, Gunasekaran, in Tamil Nadu passed the SSLC examination along with his teenaged son in Gobichettipalayamin Erode.A road worker of the department by profession, he and son Tamizh, a class X student of the Government Higher Secondary School at Polavakalipalayam, appeared as a private and regular candidate respectively in this year's SSLC examination, results of which were declared yesterday.The father passed with 234 marks out of 500 while his son secured 459 marks, officials said.Gunasekaran, a middle school drop out, said he had cleared the eighth standard examination also as a private candidate a few years ago.The man said he would also write the Class XII examination after two years along with his son as he wanted to improve his prospects for promotion.
