Teachers, education department officials fined for drinking in a primary school

The News Minute | August 14, 2014 | 10:15 am ISTSix government teachers, two officials of the education department, and a postal agent were on Wednesday fined Rs 250 each for consuming liquor in an office of a government primary school, states a report by The New Indian Express.The officials were caught consuming alcohol in the school at Chinnadangarwadi in Mukarampura by Two Town police on Monday night.  Section 290 of the IPC was registered against them by the police. The report also adds that the teachers and the education department officials were suspended from service on Tuesday.
