The News Minute | November 19, 2014 | 1:15 pm IST A delegation of Congress MLA’s in Hyderabad called on state Governor E.S.L Narasimhan to consider Telangana chief minister, K. Chandrasekar Rao’s dismissal on Tuesday. The Fourteen Congress MLAs led by Congress Legislature Party secretary Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka were suspended for a day after they stalled the proceedings of the House over the issue of the TRS encouraging defections. The Congress claimed that KCR had to step down as he violated the third and tenth schedule of the constitution by “brazenly encouraging defections.” In the past few months, many Congress leaders have switched over to the ruling party. The Congress demanded that the defected Congress members, who crossed over, should resign from their MLA post and contest again as representatives of the TRS.The MLA’s also added that that they would approach the Supreme Court if the Governor or the Speaker of the Assembly, Madhusudhana Chary failed to act.
