Rahul Gandhi to campaign in Telangana on Nov 28, lead road show on Nov 29

Congress President Rahul Gandhi is all set to campaign in Telangana on November 28 and November 29 as his schedule was finalised on Sunday. The state is scheduled to go to the polls on December 7. In a letter addressed to the Congress President, AICC incharge for Telangana, R C Khuntia, said, “As per your advice, we have discussed in detail with TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy and other senior leaders and finalised the program keeping in view the social factor and resource mobilisation.”

As per his schedule, Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Hyderabad at 11 am on November 28 and leave for Kodangal within half an hour. He is expected to arrive at Kodangal by 12 pm, where he will deliver an hour-long speech at a public meeting that will cover Kodangal and Vikarabad constituencies. At around 2:30 pm, he is scheduled to arrive at Madhira to address another public meeting, where he will talk about the issues facing the constituencies of Khammam, Madhira and Wyra.

Following this, he is expected to arrive at Hyderabad at 4:10 pm where he will attend two corner meetings; one in Secunderabad and one in Nampally. At 8 pm, he is expected to attend the Koti Deepotsavam event at NTR Stadium.

On November 29, Rahul Gandhi will attend a meeting of government recognized private education institutions, before leaving Hyderabad at 12 pm and arriving at Bhupalapalle at 1 pm. Here, the Congress President is expected to address a public meeting and speak about the issues in the constituencies of Mulugu, Parkal, Mandhani, Huzurabad and Warangal East, before heading to Armoor, where he will reach at 3:15 pm.

At Armoor, he will speak about the issues in Balkonda, Nizamabad Rural and Jukkal constituencies. Following this, he will arrive at Pargi at 5:15 pm and begin a road show after a brief public meeting.

The road show that will begin in Pargi, is expected to end at Chevella by 6:30 pm, following which he will travel to the Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad by 8 pm and head back to New Delhi.

The Congress leader is expected to return to campaign again in the state on December 3, even as Khuntia in his letter requested Gandhi for one more date to campaign in Telangana.

While it is yet to be officially confirmed, TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu may also join Rahul Gandhi in addressing some of the meetings.

The Congress and the TDP have forged a grand alliance of ‘mahakutami’ in the state along with the Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and the CPI to take on the ruling TRS.
