Ram Jethmalani extends support to OROP, criticises Modi, calls Arun Jaitley 'enemy of nation'

Supreme Court lawyer and former BJP leader Ram Jethmalani on Monday voiced his support for ex-servicemen who have been agitating for the implementation of the One Rank One Pension scheme for over two months now and criticised the government for the delay.  

Jethmalani, who has been critical of the ruling NDA government lately, said that PM Modi should be ashamed of his acts, reports ANI

“I am ashamed to say that Modi has completely frustrated my dream of him,” a Zee News report quotes him as telling ANI. “The politicians unfortunately have let down the entire nation,” said Ram Jethmalani, adding, “I feel ashamed in saying I'm a politician too, but I'm not one of those politicians who will forget their friends & people of nation," he added. 

Jethmalani also hit out at Arun Jaitley stating the "Finance Minister is your enemy and the enemy of the nation. They might go to court against me."

The ex-servicemen entered their 78th day of protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Monday.
