For the first time, Pakistan Rangers have refused sweets offered by the Border Security Force, their counterparts on the border.

Pakistani daily Dawn reported on Tuesday that BSF personnel had offered sweets to the Rangers on India’s Republic Day, but the former refused to accept them.

According to Dawn, this is the first time that the Rangers have refused, saying that this might be an indicator of the former’s unhappiness with the situation at the border which has claimed many lives on either side of the border.
