Outlook founder editor Vinod Mehta no more

Senior journalist Vinod Mehta, founder editor of Outlook magazine, died in Delhi on Sunday. He was 72.

"Outlook Group announces with deep sadness the demise of its founder editor-in-chief and editorial chairman, Vinod Mehta, today," it said in a tweet.

He breathed his last at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he was admitted and died of multi-organ failure

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described him as a "fine journalist and writer". 

"Frank and direct in his opinions, Vinod Mehta will be remembered as a fine journalist and writer," Modi said in a message. "Condolences to his family on his demise."

Tributes are pouring in for the man from across the country.
