Kerala teacher on a 10-day tapasya, for his 10th grade students' exams

A Kollam tutorial teacher is on a 10-day fast for the success of his wards in the ongoing Kerala SSLC and Plus Two exams

Venu is in the middle of a rigorous ‘fast and meditation’ till the completion of the ongoing tenth and twelfth -state syllabus- examinations in Kerala.

The founding guru of ‘Dhyaana Leela’ -a form of meditation- Venu has undertaken this ‘prayer’ to ensure the success of his wards who study at the tuition centre that he runs at Kundara in Kollam.

Taking the ‘guru-shishya’ relations to a new height, Venu is inspired by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa’s 151-hour fast without even a drop of water to drink. Venu believes that this coupled with the hard work that he and his students put in for the exams will ensure their resounding success in this year’s state school board exams.

To make sure that every student –irrespective of their religious affiliation- reaps the blessings of his spiritual exercise, the Bible, Ramyana and Quran are laid out in front of Venu who genuinely believes that his ‘tapas’ will undoubtedly benefit his students in clearing these crucial exams with flying colours.

That the locals and the students themselves vouch for the success of Venu’s teaching ‘mantra’ has also contributed to the popularity of the retreat centre that he runs alongside his tuition centre in Kollam.
