Kerala minister lashes out at Mohanlal’s black money and Kummanam’s love for Modi

Just when Keralites were rueing over EP Jayarajan’s exit from the Pinarayi cabinet, in terms of the farcical moments he provided us Malayalis, MM Mani’s ministerial entry into the Left government more than makes up for the perceived loss.

Kerala’s new Electricity Minister MM Mani got right into his trademark act with his tongue-lashing of Mohanlal, O Rajagopal and Kummanam Rajasekharan.

All of them became objects of his verbal ire for vocalizing their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent demonetization move in the country.

Speaking at Elappara in Idukki on Wednesday at a public function held in his honour for putting on the cabinet mantle, Mani began with O Rajagopal, Kerala’s lone BJP representative in the state Legislative Assembly.

Rajagopal -Mani said- was Keralites’ foolish mistake, someone who did not seem to be alright in the head, probably due to his advanced age.

And South Indian superstar Mohanlal would obviously support Modi since he had a lot of black money stashed up, averred Mani. He did not however forget to express his admiration for Mohanlal the actor.

Mani’s anger was directed at Mohanlal after the actor penned a blog supporting demonetisation.

BJP state president Kummanam too was not spared for his barbs against Keralites’ lavish lifestyle.
