Career con woman caught by Kerala police stealing bikes dressed as a man

A woman disguised as man was caught for vehicle theft by the police at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Tuesday.

The woman, who was caught for stealing bikes and scooters, has been identified as Mercy Georgy, 26, a resident of Ambalappuzha.

“She walks in a man’s attire. She travels to different places every day and steals scooters like Honda Activa, which are usually used by women,” said a press release from Sheen Tharayil, Medical College Circle Inspector.

Mercy has been arrested for stealing a scooter from Medical College junction at Thiruvananthapuram.

Police said that apart from vehicle theft, police have also filed cases against her for duping as an Ayurvedic doctor and running a fake army recruitment scam.
