Four arrested for sexually harassing women techie at 5-star in Bengaluru

Four youth were on Thursday arrested for sexually harassing women guests at a 5-star hotel in Bengaluru.

Reports say that they have been identified as Uday Byrappa, 27, of Padmanab-hanagar, Pradeep Kumar, 26, of Vibuthipura, Narasimha Lakshmikanth, 31, of RM Nagar and Chiranjeevi N, 29, of Yemalur.

A 21-year-old IT professional, a resident of Koramangala was allegedly physically abused when she objected to the youth’s behaviour and was then arrested by the police.

According to the complaint filed at Indiranagar police station, they are said to have repeatedly harassed women guests at the hotel, while other guests chose to ignore the incident.

The report says that the youth were under the influence of alcohol when they began to sexually harass women guests at the hotel, which is situated off the Intermediate Ring Road.
