7-hour power shutdown in parts of Mangaluru and Udupi

A power shutdown will affect different areas of coastal Karnataka's Udupi and Dakshina Kannada district on Friday. 

The areas where power is fed by the 11 kV feeder in Ujjodi in Mangaluru will be without power supply from 10 am to 5 pm, as per a report by Mangalore Electrical Supply Company (MESCOM).

The areas that will face power cuts includes Maroli, Mariya, Premagudde, Naguri, Kanapataggu, Holyhill, Mariyahill and other surrounding areas. 

Meanwhile, in Udupi, areas including the Krishna Mutt, Kunjibettu, Kadiyali, Badagupetu, Mission Compound, Bailur, Ajjarkad, Court Road, Volakadu, KM Marga, Maruti Veethika, Service Bus Stand, Sharada Kalyana Mantapa, Gundibailu, Kalsanka, Udyavara, Padukere, Pithrodi, Kadekar, Paniyadi, Chitpadi, Indiranagar and surrounding areas, would face power cut between 9:30 am. and 5 pm, as per The Hindu.

The same report added that areas near Kundapura in Udupi like Santhekatte, Karje, Kalthur, Kurpadi, Belenje, Chara, Shivapura, Kanyana, Nadpal, Someshwara, Madamakki, Kasanamakki, Mudradi, Varanga and Hebri will also be without power from 9 am too 5 pm. Other areas like Hakladi, Senapura, Hadavu, Trasi, Hosadu, Noojadi, Bagvadi, Nada, Badakere, Koni, Ramanagar, Belladi, Shivanagar, and surrounding areas will also be without power till 5 pm.
