Is Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘96’ a remake of 'NH 10'?

Written by : TNM Staff

Having recently completed 14 years in the industry, Trisha is on a career high, especially after proving her mettle in Dhanush’s "Kodi".

She has an interesting line-up of films which include "Sathuranga Vettai 2", the Tamil remake of "NH 10", and horror-thriller "Mohini".

Trisha has already confirmed in a few media interactions that she’s in talks for the remake of "NH 10". With the release of the first look poster of her latest Tamil outing titled "96", it’s probably safe to assume that the two projects are the same.

The poster features a highway and sources suggest that the title "96" refers to NH 96, and that the story unfolds on a road trip. Directed by debutant Prem Kumar, the project also stars Vijay Sethupathi.

Although there’s no official confirmation from the makers, it is learnt that the shooting will commence soon. What’s even more interesting is that the poster mentions Trisha as lady superstar, a tag that has already been given to Nayanthara, and this has created a furore among the fans of the actor, ever since its release on Thursday.

2017 is going to be a very busy year for Trisha who might have four releases.
