Boney Kapoor denies signing Aijth for a Hindi film

Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor is currently awaiting the release of his first Kollywood production venture Nerkonda Paarvai starring Ajith which is a Tamil remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink.

The producer recently clarified that there have been no confirmations on doing a third Hindi project with Ajith. "Seeing false reports of 3 film deal between Ajith and me in the media. Want to straighten the record. After # Nkp we are working on the action film. While I would love to have him on board for a Hindi film, he has not confirmed anything,” wrote Boney on his Twitter page.

Recently, Boney Kapoor expressed his desire to produce a film with Ajith in Bollywood for which he has 3 action scripts waiting. After watching the rushes of Nerkonda Paarvai, Kapoor heaped praises on Ajith.

Taking to Twitter he posted, "Saw the rushes of #NerkondaPaaravai. Happy... What a performance by Ajith.... I hope he agrees to do Hindi films soon. Have 3 action scripts, hope he says yes to at least one of them. #NerkondaPaaravai #Ajithkumar." 

On his decision to produce a Tamil film, Kapoor had said in a statement: "Tamil industry has always been special for me. In fact, it’s been a long journey involving Ajith to collaborate for a film, which he took up as a sheer commitment from the time he shared screen space with my wife in English Vinglish. Accordingly, what we both earnestly searched for suitable content that will add a special mileage to our respective works. We are now delighted to have joined hands for Pink."

Nerkonda Paarvai was wrapped up in just three months and it features Ajith in the role of a criminal lawyer while Shraddha reprises Taapsee’s role from the original. The film, which marks the Tamil debut of Vidya Balan in a crucial role, also stars Andrea Tariang, Rangaraj Pandey, Adhik Ravichandran, Arjun Chidambaram, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Aswin Rao and Sujith Shankar.

Bollywood diva Kalki Koechlin will make her debut with Nerkonda Paarvai. The actor will be seen in a special dance sequence that will have rap portions by a popular Malaysian rapper. 

It was recently reported that the film might have a release in China later this year after its Indian theatrical release. According to reliable sources, will most likely release in China in November or December. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding China release.
