According to reliable sources, the project will roll from December and the team is aiming for Diwali 2018 release. If the film makes it to the theatres on time, it’ll be two Diwali releases in a row for Vijay after this year’s Mersal

Basking in the good response to his latest film Spyder, Murugadoss will begin the pre-production work for Vijay’s project from October second week. The genre of the film is yet unknown but one can be certain that the Ghajini director will be under tremendous pressure.

At a recent event, Murugadoss had said his next film with Vijay will be very special and it’s not because it’s their third collaboration. But because Murugadoss is planning to attempt something very unique and it has already created quite a buzz.

Vijay currently awaits the release of Mersal, which marks his second collaboration with Atlee after Theri. Released last week, the film’s teaser gave audiences a glimpse of Vijay in three diverse avatars. In the teaser, Vijay smashing the goons up promises some adrenaline-pumping fight sequences and a couple of dance moves make it a pucca entertainer. The 75-second teaser is definitely well packed with all the elements that Vijay’s fans expected. Directed by Atlee, a former associate of Shankar, the film is said to be made on a lavish budget of over Rs. 100 crore and it is gearing up for a grand release this Diwali.
