The News Minute | November 9, 2014 | 04:18 pm IST Google on Sunday celebrated the twenty-fifth year of the fall of the Berlin Wall with an interactive video Doodle. The Berlin Wall was built overnight on 12 August 1961 'to stop people fleeing from East Germany to the West', reports BBC. The fall of the Berlin wall  took place on November 9, 1989 and 'it marked the end of 30 years of division in Germany and paved the way for the official reunification of Germany in 1990', states The Independent. The Google Doodle team on its website wrote, 'Seeking inspiration for this doodle we took a short bike ride from our Mountain View, California headquarters to our local public library to study an actual piece of the Berlin Wall.'( Berlin (Germany): Visitors view a light installation of balloons along the course of former Berlin Wall at a Berlin Wall memorial site in Berlin, Germany, on Nov. 8, 2014. It was moving to see it in person and, appropriately enough, spray-painted on this special slab are the German words “Wir lieben dich” — “we love you”', the team wrote in its note. Watch the Google Doodle here.
