Now you can extend your help to your domestic help and Gift A Pension to them. An initiative by the non-profit organisation Micro Pension Foundation, Gift A Pension strives to provide integral social security solution to domestic helps.  'Old age security is a challenging problem for India at large, and the concept of retirement and pension evades most of the working population', states Gift A Pension's Facebook Page. Gift A Pension's website also says that there are around 40 crore informal sector workers in India with no formal social security cover. Gift a Pension, which strives towards empowering India's domestic helps, 'is a web based platform that enables employers to enroll their domestic help for pension benefits. Through this platform, the domestic help will get a pension scheme with a Rs.1000 per year co-contribution from the Government of India and a simple, secure and convenient payment solution.'
