Woman allegedly stripped, paraded, videographed for dowry

The News Minute | October 22, 2014 | 11.19 pm ISTA woman in Jamshedpur has lodged a complaint against her in-laws, alleging that they stripped and paraded her, and threatened to make videos of the incident public unless she brought more dowry.According to a report in Hindustan Times, the woman had lodged a complaint with the Govindpur police station. In the complaint she said that her in-laws stripped and paraded her naked in front of other family members and videographed the whole episode. They threatened to circulate the video on the internet and MMS unless she brought Rs 50 lakh as dowry. Police have said action will be taken based on investigation.
