Young woman found murdered in Hyderabad, assailants threw a boulder on her head

A young woman was found murdered in an isolated area near Gandipet in Hyderabad on Sunday evening.

According to reports, the body of the woman, clad in a white t-shirt, black jacket and blue jeans, was found in Sri Nagar Colony. “The assailants killed the victim by throwing a boulder on her head. There was also a cut injury on her throat. The victim's hands were tied with a piece of cloth,” Narsingi inspector P Ramachander Rao told TOI.

Also found on the scene were a veil, a chocolate wrapper, a soft drink bottle and a white towel.

Police are currently investigating the identity of the murdered woman, as they have not received any missing persons complaint that matches her description yet.

After the body was discovered, police scoured CCTV footage in a 4-km radius from the crime scene, and found visuals of a man escorting a woman, who may be the victim, on a black motorcycle. Police are currently on the lookout for the man and the motorcycle.
