Hyderabad top-cop’s moving gesture, makes ailing 8-yr old Commissioner for a day

For 8-year-old Madipalli Roop Aurona who suffers from Thalassemia, life is not easy. He has to undergo blood transfusions every few weeks, is under heavy medication and has to be eternally alert to make sure his health does not worsen. But he had one wish, that he wanted to become the Commissioner of Police.

Thanks to Make A Wish foundation and the CoP of Hyderabad, his wish came true. On Tuesday, the native of Nalgonda district became the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad for a day. Decked in crisp khakis and confidence becoming of a true-blood cop, the 8-year-old even signed files and lived up to a CoP’s duties.

Roop took charge and signed leave letters of officials of the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate at Basheerbagh.

Son of Ranjitha and Vikram, who is a school teacher, Madipalli had expressed his wish to become the Hyderabad Police Commissioner for a day, to the foundation earlier.

According to TNIE, another boy Sadiq from Karimnagar was made commissioner for a day as per his wish and the request was made to commissioner M Mahendar Reddy by Make a Wish Foundation in October last year.
