A student from Delhi Public School's Nadergul Campus at the outskirts of Hyderabad was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his classroom on Saturday evening.

The Class 6 student, was identified as G Adarsh Mudiraj.

The Times of India reported that Adarsh went running to his first-floor classroom to pick up his bag as the school bus was about to leave, but did not return for sometime, following which a staff member found him on the floor of his classroom.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

“A case has been registered under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC and investigation is underway. We suspect the boy might have died due to some illness,” Adibatla inspector Govinda Reddy told TOI.

Doctors suspect that he may have suffered from a heart attack. However, this is yet to be confirmed.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Balath Raj, administrative officer of DPS, Nadergul, said, “We have CCTV footage to show the sequence of events. We have asked the police to confirm after watching the footage."

He added that Adarsh was administered first aid after his collapse, but still could not be saved.

The police said that there would be more clarity on the incident, once investigation into the case is completed.
