Another Telangana cop commits suicide, trainee sub-inspector hangs himself

In yet another incident of policemen committing suiciding in Telangana, a trainee sub-inspector of police committed suicide in Telangana's Nalgonda district on Thursday.

T Kiran Kumar (28) hanged himself at his house in Miryalguda town, police said.

According to police, Kumar had sustained a grievous injury on his leg while undergoing training at the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy a few months ago and had to return home without completing the training.

Police are investigating the reasons for his extreme action.

This incident comes in the wake of several other incidents of suicide amongst the police in the newly formed state.

In August, two sub-inspectors in the state killed themselves in separate incidents. 

On August 30, a sub-inspector shot himself with his service revolver just two days after he joined Kerameri Police Station in Adilabad district.

On August 17, another police sub-inspector committed suicide when he turned the service revolver on himself in Medak district.
