Police officer uses WhatsApp to locate dog

The News Minute | November 27, 2014 | 8.40 am ISTTrisha, a one-year-old Labrador, had gone missing from the Perambur railway station on Sunday morning after it had followed its master, Government Railway Police Inspector, S Sekar. The inspector sought help of the reporters of vernacular dailies and also of his colleagues in the police department. However, the inspector did not stop there. He took the aid of WhatsApp.He sent messages to all his friends on WhatsApp groups along with the dog’s picture, Times of India reported. A man who spotted Trisha at the Madhavaram bus stop informed the Perambur police and they rushed to the spot. "As soon as police received the message, we rushed to the place. When Trisha saw the cops, she came running," said Sekar.
