500 DMK cadre cross over to BJP in Tamil Nadu

The News Minute | January 5, 2015 | 08.30 AM ISTAround 500 DMK workers shifted base to the ruling party BJP in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. Welcomed into the party by state chief Tamilisai Soundararajan, this development will be the first time DMK cadres have joined BJP after a high-profile crossover made by former Union minister and DMK member  N Napolean when he joined the BJP on December 21, reported Times of India. Napolean had joined the party when the BJP national president Amit Shah had made a visit to the state. Workers from Chepauk, Triplicane and other areas have joined as they like the BJP, said the state organising secretary, according to the report. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
