Wait is over: CBSE finally declares NEET 2017 results

Written by : TNM Staff

The wait for over 11 lakh students in the country who appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) earlier this year is finally over.

After several hurdles and much delay, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday finally declared the results for under graduate medical courses.

The results can be accessed on the CBSE's official website, i.e. www.cbseneet.nic.in .

"Result of NEET (UG) - 2017 has been declared as per the directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. Good Wishes to all candidates from CBSE," the Board said on its website.

The CBSE had earlier put out a notification stating that the results would be declared on June 20. It however withdrew the notification later.

Last week, the Supreme Court had stayed a Madras HC order and permitted the CBSE to declare the results of NEET 2017 for under graduate medical courses.

The Madras HC had passed an interim order restraining the CBSE from declaring the results after petitions were filed alleging that the questions were not uniform in English and other regional languages.
