Sudheeran's Yatra Committee took donation from a bar owner

Sudheeran has found himself in the midst of a controversy after a news channel put out a story that a Yatra undetaken by him had taken funds from a bar owner.Janapaksha Yatra committee had allegedly taken fund from a bar hotel owner. According to reports the receipt of Rs 5000 given to the owner of Oak tree bar hotel, Thiruvilwamala Thrissur, by the District Congress committee has come out.VM Sudheeran told media that strict action will be taken against the person who had done this and the money will be returned to the hotel owner. Sudheeran is known to be the politician who first insisted and later piled pressure on state Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to move towards total liquor prohibition in Kerala which lead to close down of bars.
