Kummanam to follow Modi's election campaign style in Kerala

Written by : TNM Staff

Kerala BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan will reportedly follow Narendra Modi in his election campaigning mode. It has been reported that the BJP leader will hold a public campaign similar to Modi’s `Chai pe Charcha' campaign during parliamentary elections.

The Times of India reports that the technology-aided interactive campaign--tilted Ente Keralam--envisages public debates on the development agenda to be followed by the BJP.

The party will reportedly organize discussions with the public in 140 constituencies. “The idea of the programme is to collect people's wishes on development. The party president will interact directly with the voters of all assembly constituencies through video conferencing from six select district centres. The programme will be organized from April 2 to 12 from 6pm to 8.30pm,“ said BJP state secretary V V Rajesh, ToI reports.

A five-member panel, consisting of independent experts and political leaders, will be monitoring the talks in each constituency. Specially designed vehicles will be used for video-conferencing.

ToI further reports that the BJP has also deputed professionals to collect the voters' development wishes.
