Kerala senior police officer 'caught' cheating in exam, DGP orders probe

Barely has the furore of mass cheating in Bihar died down, when another one has started in Kerala. A senior police officer, Thrissur range Inspector General (IG) of Police T.J. Jose IPS (conferred) was allegedly caught cheating in an examination conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University. He was appearing for the LLM (Master of Laws) examination at St. Paul's College in Kalamassery when he was allegedly caught for malpractice.According to a Malayala Manorama report, an hour into the exam, papers torn out from a guide was found in his capacity. Jose left the examination hall refusing to surrender the paper, after the invigilator questioned him without knowing Jose’s designation.While Jose denied reports of ‘copying’ calling it fake news to The News Minute, Vice Principal of the college VJ Peter has confirmed the incident.Kerala DGP Balasubramaniam has ordered detailed investigation on the issue.
