Chandy and others ruined my acting career: Suresh Gopi

Written by : TNM Staff

Actor and Rajya Sabha member Suresh Gopi on Monday accused Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and others of ruining his acting career.

According to reports, he was speaking at a campaign programme in support of NDA candidate N Chandran in Adimali.

In his address, Suresh Gopi said that after the BJP government had come to power at the Centre, he had apolitically gone to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to appeal to him to bring NDA's development policies to Kerala. “It was not the Congress who tried to lend that interaction a political tinge, but Oommen Chandy and a few others who were out to ruin my acting career,” he was quoted as saying.

He further said that the agenda of BJP-led NDA alliance -that he now supports- is to bring in development without causing damage to the environment in Kerala, unlike what was done by the ruling front.
