The News Minute | February 12, 2015 | 6.07 pm ISTThe ongoing session in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly saw an MLA dance while he made his point.K S Puttannaiah of the Sarvodaya Party on Wednesday did a little jig in the Assembly, when he was talking about the importance of playing and physical activity in the education for children.Dressed in white with a green shawl slug draped over one shoulder, Puttannaiah stood up to address Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa and said: "Sabhadhyakshare, if you had been given training, you too could have an Olympic medal. If those who run behind the buffalo (in the Kambala buffalo race) are given proper training, then they will definitely get a medal.”Gesturing with his hands and shaking his head, Puttannaiah said: “Today’s youth stick earphone in their ears and dance to jhinchak-jhinchak music. They simply don’t know the value of playing. The government should fix 10 marks for physical exercise in exams.”
