Jashodaben offers prayers in Gangavati temple, Karnataka

The News Minute | May 22, 2014 | 7.51 pm ISTPrime Minister-elect Narendra Modi’s wife Jashodaben visited temples in Karnataka on Wednesday to offer special prayers that are said to be part of a pilgrimage.According to a Times of India report (Jashodaben offers puja at Gangavati temple), she visited the Anjanadri Hill temple and offered prayers along with another woman. She had arrived in Hospet by a special train from Gujarat. She was reportedly accompanied by a number of people. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Hospet unit leader Kantilal was present at the temple when Jashoda visited. The local police however, did not have any information about Jashodaben’s visit, TOI reported.The report also said that she left for Gujarat via Bangalore after the pooja was completed.
