A day after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah vowed to make Karnataka a BJP-free state; Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and State Opposition leader Jagadish Shettar have criticised the Congress leader’s remark.Speaking at the rally organised in Davangere on completing two years in office, Siddaramaiah, on Saturday had said that neither the BJP nor the JD(S) could make a comeback due to their poor administration. The Union Minister said it was improper for the chief minister to “train his guns on the opposition parties” on the occasion of a celebration. “It was improper to make such comments as there is a difference between political meets and celebrations,” Deccan Herald quoted the minister as saying.BJP leader Jagadish Shettar hit back saying that it would remain a perpetual dream to rid the state of the national party. He further commented that it was the pledge rid India of Congress was first taken by BJP, however, Siddaramaiah had borrowed the slogan.
