The News Minute | November 12, 2014 | 09:01 am IST The Bengaluru school, where a three-year-old was sexually assaulted in October, has been served notice to shut down within a week its pre-primary classes and Classes 6 and 7, which were being run without authorisation, states a report by The New Indian Express. A criminal case has been registered against the school management for operating these classes without permission. Several incidents of minors being sexually assaulted in the city, many in schools, have been reported in recent time. The government has now geared up and asked all schools to implement safety guidelines issued by police and state department.The High Court has told the police and education department to not show leniency to schools that fail to implement the safety guidelines, following which the Home Department booked cases against 186 schools in the city for non-compliance.
