The News Minute | April 3, 2015 | 09:24 am IST The cabinet has put on hold its decision to trifurcate the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), states a report by The New Indian Express. “The High Court has directed us to conduct elections on or before May 30, and we have no time to divide the BBMP,” Ramalinga Reddy, Minister Incharge of Bengaluru, told the newspaper, adding that their priority is to conduct the municipal elections. “It is not that we don’t want to divide the city. With so little time, we can’t amend the law to do it,” Reddy said.
