What will Asif Ali’s role in 'BTech' be?

Written by : TNM

After getting to share the screen space in two films Sunday Holiday and Thrissivaperoor Kliptham, actors Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali will be back together for another film titled as B Tech.

It may be noted here that Sunday Holiday was one of their biggest hits which catapulted their star status in the film industry. The new venture will be bankrolled by Maqtro Pictures, which had produced Sunday Holiday earlier with Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali.

Mridul Nair will be making his debut as director with this flick.

Apart from Aparna Balamurali, the film will also feature Niranjana Anoop as the leading lady. Reports are that both Aparna and Niranjana will have equal importance and have ample scope to show their performance.

Other actors in the star cast include Anoop Menon, Sreenath Bhasi and Aju Varghese. Reports suggest that Anoop Menon would be seen playing the father’s role in the film with Sreenath and Varghese essaying important characters.

Though not much has been revealed about this film, we hear from sources that a major portion of it would be shot in Bengaluru. According to the film’s director, B Tech is all about the life of an engineering student in a college outside Kerala.

Anyone who has been through this phase would connect with the film and it can invoke a sense of nostalgia. The director however refuses to divulge more details about the lead characters’ roles. To know more about that, it looks like we need to wait until the film hits the screens.

The film’s shooting is slated to begin in Bengaluru in December and groundwork for it is currently going on.

Asif Ali has just wrapped up the shooting of Mandaram in which he appears in five different get-ups and will be moving over to B Tech right on time.
