VVS Laxman praises Mahesh Babu for 'Maharshi'

When Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi had hit the marquee in May this year, it was well appreciated not only by film buffs but by the celebrities from various walks of life. The latest celeb to take to the social media to shower his praises on this socially-relevant entertainer was former cricketer and current commentator VVS Laxman. He wrote on his social media page, “Just finished watching Maharshi. Simply loved it. The strong and inspiring message the movie conveyed is very important for all of us. One more powerful performance by @urstrulyMahesh.”

To this, Mahesh Babu replied, “Thank you very much @VVSLaxman281 sir. Glad you liked our film :)”

Directed by Vamsi Paidapally, Maharshi was a high budget project with a major portion of it shot in the United States. The film was about three friends played by Mahesh Babu, Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. Maharshi is being produced jointly by Dil Raju, C. Ashwini Dutt and Prasad V. Potluri under the banners Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies and PVP Cinema. The technical crew of this film includes Devi Sri Prasad as its music composer, K. U. Mohanan as the cinematographer and Praveen KL as the editor.

Mahesh Babu is currently busy with Sarileru Neekevvaru. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in it. The film will have two veteran actors Ramya Krishnan and Vijayashanthi in pivotal roles with Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh and producer Bandla Ganesh in the star cast as well. 

Sarileru Neekevvaru is being bankrolled jointly by Anil Sunkara, Dil Raju and Mahesh Babu under AK Entertainments, Sri Venkateswara Creations and GMB Entertainment. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music for this venture. It is scheduled to hit the marquee for Sankaranthi next year.
