Singam 3 Telugu version sold for Rs 18 crore

Written by : TNM

According to industry grapevine, the rights of Telugu dubbed version of Singam 3 have been sold in Andhra and Telangana to producer Malkapuram Shivakumar for a whopping price of Rs 18 crore. Apparently, this is the highest price ever paid for a Suriya-starrer in the two Telugu states, where the actor enjoys good market value. In fact, Suriya’s last release 24, a time-travel thriller, did better business in Andhra and Telangana vis-à-vis Tamil Nadu.

Currently being filmed in Vizag where scenes between Suriya and Shruti Haasan are being canned, Singam 3 is the third installment in the Singam franchise. The film also stars Anushka Shetty, who has been part of the first two films and will finally get to marry Suriya in the third part.

Directed by Hari, who had directed the previous two outings, Singam 3 will release this Diwali, and it’s tipped to be even more entertaining and action-centric than the first two parts.
