Queen remake most likely to feature Trisha

Written by : TNM

The southern remake of Vikas Bahl’s critically acclaimed Queen was announced last year. However, since its announcement there has been no development on its Tamil and Telugu remakes whose rights were acquired by actor-producer Thiyagarajan.

While it was initially rumoured that Nayanthara may star in the project, however, it was soon ruled out. After several months, it has now emerged that Trisha might star in the film, which will be helmed by actress-filmmaker Revathy. Actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam is said to have been roped in, to pen the dialogues.

According to a source, the project requires Trisha to set aside bulk dates. However, since she already has two projects in her kitty and is currently shooting for horror flick Mohini, she’s finding it extremely difficult to find time. Nevertheless, she’s keen on doing this project as she’s a fan of the original and would love to experiment at this point in her career.

Trisha currently awaits the release of horror-thriller Nayagi, in which she’s said to be essaying dual avatars. Her next film, Mohini, is also said to be a horror flick which is being shot in London presently.
