Power Paandi Telugu remake with Mohan Babu on the cards

Written by : TNM

Dhanush’s directorial debut Power Paandi has not only impressed audiences and critics alike but has also won over Telugu actor Mohan Babu who is most likely to star in its remake.

Apparently, it was Superstar Rajinikanth, immensely impressed with the film, who recommended it to his friend Mohan Babu and even suggested that he star in the remake. He even arranged a special screening of the film for him.

The remake will be directed by Subramaniam Siva, who had helmed the Telugu remake of Dhanush’s Thiruda Thirudi. “Mohan Babu sir has agreed to be part of the project. However, the film will not go on the floors immediately as he is recuperating from a recent surgery. It would take at least a month or two before the project will go on the sets,” a source said.

An emotionally uplifting film, Power Paandi is the story of a 64-year-old former stuntman’s journey of self-exploration. Actor Raj Kiran played the titular role and his performance has appealed to all sections of the audience. The source added that Mohan Babu’s son Vishnu Manchu might also be a part of the remake and may get to reprise Prasanna’s role.
