Mohanlal’s next destination is Georgia

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s 1971: Beyond Borders is progressing well with the team completing a major chunk of the shoot at the artillery camp at Mahajan in Rajasthan. Mohanlal and others are currently shooting at Ottapalam, where important scenes are being filmed. According to latest reports from the film unit, the team will leave for Georgia soon to complete the shoot of a few portions.

Director Major Ravi initially intended to shoot these portions in Uganda but then decided on Georgia, we hear.

While Mohanlal will be playing dual roles (father and son), 1971: Beyond Borders also has Allu Sirish and Arunodhay Singh in important roles. Being the fourth instalment of the Major Mahadevan series, the director has created an additional character – Major Sahadevan.

Based on the 1971 Indo – Pak war, this war drama has music composed by Siddharth Vipin, Rahul Subramaniam and Najim Arshad.
