Kajal, Manjima in Soundarya Rajinikanth’s film with Dhanush

Written by : TNM

Soundarya Rajinikanth, who rose to fame after directing her father in India’s first motion capture film, Kochadaiiyaan, is ready with her next project, “Nilavakku Enmel Ennadi Kobbam”, and it stars her brother-in-law Dhanush in the lead.

Kajal Aggarwal, who had previously worked with Dhanush in Maari, has been roped in alongside Manjima as his love interests in the film, which is being bankrolled by Kabali producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu.

Dhanush’s role was originally offered to Mohanlal’s son Pranav, who turned down the offer because he is only keen on calling the shots. Having run out of options, Soundarya went back to Dhanush who, upon being offered the role, grabbed the opportunity in a jiffy. According to sources, the project also features a third heroine and Sonam Kapoor was initially approached. However, since she wasn’t really keen on doing a Tamil film, the makers are currently on the lookout for another actress.

With the pre-production work already underway, the project is expected to go on the floors later this year. Even though reports indicate that Dhanush might only be playing a cameo, it isn’t clear yet whether his will only be a brief role or an extended one.
