It’s tough to not like anything about Suriya who, being the son of veteran actor Sivakumar, has gone on to become one of the biggest stars of southern cinema.

With Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakht Charitra, he made a splash in Bollywood, but it’s a shame he didn’t capitalize on the popularity. Having floored several of his counterparts with his performances and personality, Suriya has now left Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranveer Singh speechless.

In a recent interview, when asked about his favourite south actor, Ranveer heaped praise on Suriya. Calling him an intense and crackling star, he said he loved his performance in Rakht Charitra. He also said that Suriya looks much younger sans mustache, and added that he’s the original Singam. The video featuring Ranveer talking about Suriya has been leaked online and has gone viral, thanks to the excitement of Suriya’s fans.

Currently busy shooting for the climax stunt sequence of S3, the third part in the Singam franchise, Suriya has two projects in the offing. He’s also believed to start work on his non-bilingual Telugu project from next year.
