Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law Kalyan Dev is all set to make his acting debut. Putting an end to all speculations about his debut, the industrialist will be donning the greasepaint for his upcoming movie which has not been named yet.

The muhurat of the film was a star studded event with Chiru gracing it with a host of others. SS Rajamouli began the proceedings by directing the first shot while music composer MM Keeravani switched on the camera. Notable among the celebrities present at this event were NV Prasad, Gunnam Gangaraju, Kalyan Koduri, Avasarala Srinivas etc.

Rakesh Sashi will be wielding the megaphone for this venture with the technical crew including KK Senthil Kumar of Baahubali fame to crank the camera, and Rama Krishna of Rangasthalam fame taking care of the art department. Malavika Nair will be paired opposite Kalyan Dev in this untitled venture.

The film will be bankrolled by Sai Korrapati under his banner Varahi Chalana Chitram. Speaking on the occasion of the film’s launch, he was quoted as saying, “We are very happy and delighted to produce Kalyaan Dhev’s first project under our Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner. Our entire team is excited to have Chiranjeevi garu and Rajamouli garu gracing the event to wish us. This Production No 12 will be a very special project with many attractions and a good script prepared by Rakesh Sashi.”

It may be mentioned here that the ace producer has several blockbuster hits under his belt including Eega, Andala Rakshasi, Legend, Oohalu Gusagusalade, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, Manamantha / Vismayam, and Yuddham Sharanam.

Kalyan Dev is Chiru’s son-in-law having married his youngest daughter Sreeja in 2016. He is an industrialist who has decided to follow the footsteps of his megastar father-in-law Chiranjeevi and brother-in-law Ram Charan Teja.
