Written by : TNM

After impressing audiences and critics alike in “Baahubali”, Anushka Shetty has landed a pivotal role in Nagarjuna's upcoming mythological film on Baba Hatiram, which will be helmed by veteran filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao. The project will go on floors in July. Nagarjuna is said to be currently growing his beard for the role.

In the film, Anushka, we hear, plays an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara and her role is said to be very crucial in taking the story forward. Mostly seen in glamorous avatars, she will for the first time in her career be seen in a completely de-glam avatar. She will be playing a woman from the 18th century and a lot of research has gone into her look.

Tentatively titled “Om Namo Venkatesa”, the film also stars Vimala Raman, Saurabh Raaj Jain and Pragya Jaiswal in important roles.
