IIM Vizag to be set up by next academic year

The News Minute | November 18, 2014 | 10:30 am ISTThe state of Andhra Pradesh will witness the setting up of an Indian Institute of Management in Vizag by the next academic year. Andhra University, as a part of extending support, is temporarily providing accommodation for the IIM till the permanent campus is built.According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Andhra University officials are also ready to provide experienced faculty members if needed for any academic activity.Five more IIMs are planning to come up besides AP in Maharashtra, Bihar, Punjab, Odisha, and Himachal Pradesh by the next financial year. There are 13 IIMs as if now spread throughout the country.Registrations for IIM-Vizag will be available from the ensuing academic year.
