The Bofors India Howiter deal was part of this prime-time series. Chitra Subramaniam was a key investigator in this 10-year drama (1987-1997) that unfurled in Sweden, Switzerland and India. The investigation contributed to the electoral defeat of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
