Chitra Subramaniam | The News Minute | April 23, 2014 | 11.27 AM ISTRanjit Sinha, Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CB) has been rather economical with details about his visit to Rome. While he told India he was in the city to attend a meeting called by the London Metropolitan Police, the reality is elsewhere. Watch this video especially from 1:54:00 to get a clear picture of his work not in Rome but at the Vatican where among other things, he said India premier investigating agency can be a nodal point to channel funds to NGOs in the country combatting human trafficking. It may be recalled that The News Minute revealed last Monday that Sinha was among a handful of invitees attending a conference organized by the Vatican under the title “Church and Law Enforcement in partnership.” Read The News Minute report: Ranjit Sinha, Vatican and AgustawestlandThe News Minute draws attention to the fact that we do not comment on what the CBI Director undertook in Rome as part of his Vatican event. Our work as a media house is limited to exposing the fact that Ranjit Sinha lied to the country. For good measure, he added that he had also spoken to the Indian ambassador in Rome about the crucial Agustawestland plea bargaining which commenced in a court near Milan at about the same time that Sinha was in Rome.
