They stuck between a proposed rehabilitation by the state government for the Pulichintala project, and the approaching rains likely to be brought on by Hudhud cyclone.The Pulichintala project is located in Pulichintala village in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh and Nemalipuri village in Nalgonda district, Telangana.According to a report in The Hindu, officials of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh had agreed that the Telangana government would rehabilitate people from four villages which were likely to be submerged by the implementation of the project. The Andhra government has paid Rs 20 crore as agreed earlier.Villagers meanwhile, are unwilling to relocate, claiming that many of those to be shifted had not yet received all the components of the compensation promised to them. At present, the Pulichintala reservoir is receiving 5,000 cusecs of water from the Nagarjunsagar, but rains caused by Cyclone Hudhud, which is likely to hit the coast on Sunday afternoon, are likely to increase the problems of villagers.
