Telangana’s Directorate of Government Examinations is likely to announce the Class 10 SSC results on May 21 at 3 pm. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Telangana government had decided to cancel the Class 10 exams and promote all students, and had announced that grades will be allotted on the basis of internal assessment. The government had said that the results of class 10 students will be prepared on the basis of objective criteria to be developed by the SSC Board.

Details of grades allotted on the basis of internal assessment marks will be available on the websites https://www.bse.telangana.gov.in/ and http://results.bsetelangana.org/results/ from 3 pm onwards, Telangana Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said. The minister said that students can collect their pass memos from the Principals of the concerned schools. In case of any errors in the students' pass memos, the SSC board can be informed through the concerned principal for immediate rectification, she said.

The minister said grades for students were determined on the basis of internal assessment marks. The minister said that all 5, 21, 073 students who were registered for the Class 10 SSC examinations have been passed. Of these, 5,16,578 were regular students while 4,495 had previously failed and had currently paid the exam fees. Of those who had appeared regularly, 2,62,917 were boys and 2,53,661 were girls. 2,10,647 students scored 10/10 GPA. The minister revealed that a total of 535 schools have received 10/10 GPA.

Since it was not possible to conduct Class 10 exams in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and for students to appear for the exam, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, all the students have been passed. Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said that Telangana was the first state to conduct digital classes during the 2020-21 academic year when physical classes were not possible, adding that was a testament to the Chief Minister's commitment to the education sector.

Telangana Director of School Education had in April issued a government order promoting all the students from Class 1 to 9 to the next class as well. On April 15, the government had also announced that all the first-year intermediate students would be promoted, and the second year examinations, scheduled to be held from May 1 to May 19, would be postponed. The new exam dates have not been annnounced yet.
